On April 20th 2007 our precious daughter Courtney was killed in a car accident along with three of her friends. They were heading home after getting ice cream. Courtney was just 18 and finishing her freshman year of college at the University of New Hampshire.

Our hearts are heavy but the memories of Courtney’s love, laughter and generous spirit are always with us.

To honor her life we hold an annual 3-on-3 basketball tournament called "Courts for Courtney". The event has been a huge success for the past 2 years with 85 teams participating each time. Plenty of Raffle and silent auction items are also available.

This years event will be held on Saturday Nov. 28th, 2009 at the Holy Cross Field House. The games will begin at 9:00 with a time schedule for each team available on this web site one week prior to the tournament.

All proceeds to benefit the Courtney Butcher Memorial Scholarship which is a 501(c)3 non-profit fund. This College Scholarship goes to a graduating girl basketball player at Doherty High School.
